70 Degrees in January??

Yep...Its supposed to be close to 70 degrees here today. I cant believe it. I mean, is the world coming to an end? We have the 60's in the midwest and horrendous storms on the west coast. Global warming or just a really crazy weather system? All I know is that its going to make for a great running environment for tonight after work. 4 miles with the dog should be a good time. I need to get some exercise in before "the game" this evening so my mind is clear and I can focus on what's REALLY important. The BCS Championship game. GO BUCKS!!

What's more important than the game tonite is that New Orleans is really benefiting from this bowl season. 3 bowl games over the holidays only brings in much needed revenue to a rebuilding city. Im excited to be in NOLA in February to see how things have changed. My wife and I will be doing some volunteer work( I HOPE) while we are there for the marathon. I keep thinking about running...running on the levee...running along the mighty Mississipi...running. Thats where my thoughts are right now. I can't wait to run New Orleans.

Oh yeah..and my Falcons lost last nite. 63-7. All I can say about that is a football team can't turn the ball over 4 times in the first half against a team that averages almost 600 yards of offense a game. At least they got to play in a bowl game. I wish they hadn't got destroyed though.

Hi, Chris and Sarah! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I am truly enjoying our warm weather here in Taylor, Michigan! I will take warm weather whenever I can get it! I lived by the river (Detroit River) when I was young - when I lived in southwest Detroit. Used to love to hear the fog horns on a foggy day. Still miss hearing that. Of course, now I have the sound of airplanes. Sigh.

If you want sad football, try the Detroit Lions! LOL

My sister lives in Roscommon, and I visit her several times a year. Love it up there.

My nephew lives in Houghton Lake.

I love Greektown. The food is great!

I have never been in a casino. I'm afraid it holds no allure for me. But we appreciate the economy boost from the in-laws! LOL

It must those puppy dog eyes... but I bet she has Sarah's grace!

I know. The Lions are the pits!

Alas, I do not have a picture. I have gotten quite heavy in my old age and won't allow anyone to take my pic! I will try to get one of my younger days and have my son scan it for me on his printer. My printer (new) doesn't work. I need a more modern OS (I have Windows ME still) and just don't have the funds to get a newer hard drive to network into the old one... that way I can keep certain things on the old one and the newer things on the new one that don't work on the old one!

How's that for confusion! LOL
