New Orleans Runnin'

So the BCS Championship game last night got me thinking about my run in New Orleans. The beginning and end of the race start at the Superdome. If you've ever been to New Orleans, you know that there isn't a hill anywhere in the city. One of my relatives who lives there says, "The only hill that there is in New Orleans is in the Zoo." So that is encouraging I suppose. From what I can plan in my mind, the course will be pretty flat. I can imagine running down St. Charles through the Garden district to Audubon Park and back will be a pretty run. I love the Garden District of New Orleans. It's one of my favorite spots in the country. Since we are only running the half marathon, we wont be running through the Quarter. We end at the Superdome again while the marathoners take off through the Quarter onto Bourbon St and then a large part is ran down Poydras. Can't wait to run Nawlins'. Here is a fun map of the race course for you to see. If you want more information on the race, go to http://www.mardigrasmarathon.com/

Awe, well hopefully you can get to New Orleans to run next year. I can't wait. Im excited to run in a city I know pretty well. We have quite a few family and friends running together. It should be a good time. Im hoping to snag a hurricane or two along the way. LOL. Or at least at the end of the race.

Cleveland Heights is nice. My wife and I thought about moving there when we were looking for our first house. Its a nice little community. We bought in berea instead. Berea and Cleveland Heights, to me, are similar.

Good luck with YOUR race. Where is the Winter Buckeye half at?

Well, to be honest with you, I would keep coming back because I started reading your house blog and would just come back to see what was new with you and Sarah. Of course, I like pictures. I don't think I would do anything differently because you have already started to take your blog in a different direction, and I still like reading it even though I don't run and couldn't even when I was young (weak ankles). You have many subject to talk about, and you always have something interesting to say!

Sandy, well thank you for reading. We do appreciate it. We always have something to say, and this is the best place to say it. Sometimes, its just nice to have a place where you can write and share ideas and thoughts. Thanks for your patronage.

Thanks for always talking to me. I will give thought to how the look of the blog might be changed. I was very flattered that you thought enough of my opinion to ask.

What is your fastest time in the New Orleans Marathon? I see that they have walkers, too.

Ha Ha...Its amazing how much those wedding cake houses go for too. I know Emeril has a home there. I believe Francis Coppola as well as Nicolas (Coppola) Cage too. The Garden District is awesome. I love New Orleans. I cant wait to be running on the levees next month along the big tankers coming in from the Gulf.
