For our convenience...

For our convenience, I have set up a Flickr account to store all of our photos in one space. So, if you would like to take a look at our New Orleans pictures, just click on the Flickr badge on the right, and then scroll through the pictures. Enjoy.

Insulation...and Walls.

So...this is where im at with our master closet. Finishing up the insulation. Essentially, my father and I are looking to complete the rehab of the master closet im hoping within another month or so. All i need to do is finish insulating and tear down some old plaster and lathe. Weve insulated 80% of the room and have run electrical as well. We still need to mount the switch and put up walls. This room was never insulated before. We sure could feel a nice draft coming from it in the winter time. Not anymore. Its nice and warm in our closet now. Im looking forward to having the project completed soon.

Still needs to be finished:
Mounting light switch properly.
Tearing down plaster and lathe wall.
Finish installing the rest of the insulation.
Put up walls.
Lay down carpet.

Back.

So Mrs. H and I returned from New Orleans yesterday. We had a wonderful trip. We really enjoyed the half-marathon, and more importantly, the much warmer weather. Also, the lack of snow was a treat. We got to eat at Mother's, which was featured on Man vs. Food just recently. We had some great seafood at a restaurant in Belle Chase. We got to watch the Cavs and the Super Bowl on Sunday, and then we went to see the Hornets play the TrailBlazers on Monday night. All in all, it was a great trip. We have some great pictures of our visit that I will be posting soon.

Those of us that ran the half-marathon ran very well. We had great weather. Low 50's and overcast at the beginning of the race. I felt well. I ran a 1:40. I feel like I ran a good race. I didn't
over extend myself and I didn't feel very sore aftwards. It was a good test to see how my training went over the tough winter months that we've been having. All in all, I was pleased not only with myself, but with all of us that ran. It was a great race.

Check back for pics soon...
